In the gallery of the Museum Langmatt, a triptych of delicate, light pink tones enters into a respectful dialogue with the Impressionists in the collection - Cézanne, Renoir, Pissarro, Bonnard and Van Gogh.

Whilst the work commands attention, it does so in a quiet and subtle way. As you enter the villa gallery from a distance, these paintings seem minimal and unassuming. Upon closer inspection, they begin to show their magic, and looking closer again reveal texture and interference pigments that gathered as the water dragged the paint down the surface.
